Look how the front of Summer's dress is so wrinkled after she's been sitting! Can you believe this dress was originally $413 at Saks. If I were to spend that much on a dress, I'd expect a good fabric. It's now on sale for $99. Still too much for crappy material.

And more tan/brown for her! She must love this color. I think wardrobe buys the clothes for each character, and they have to pick from what's in their character's closet. On days where it feels like there's a colour scheme for the day, in all the scenes, if that's not a fluke, then they're probably told what colour range to pick from.

That fabric does kind of appeal to me though... if it were a blouse, so that it wouldn't wrinkle when you sit, and if you put it with burgundy velvet corduroy pants or burgundy fake leather pants. Or throw a jacket with some actual colour over it... sigh. She just does not look like a head of a fashion company.
