I mean this is up there with the reliquary. Wednesday US. Pyllis has no trial for murder and framing an innocent woman; instead a beneficent judge uses Carson's prior statement that he randomly chose to visit the motel and just happened to look in the window and see Phyllis kill Jeremy in self-defense. Uh-huh. And most of all, this judge is swayed that because Phyllis has kids, she needs to stay out of prison to be a better person for them. Cue music. Nevermind that her "kids" are in their 30s, and that by this reasoning, nobody who has ever had children could ever be sentenced to prison.

In the old days, Victor would bribe or blackmail the judge, in order for a ridiculous ruling to make sense. So if Josh Griffith really was determined to keep Phyllis out of prison, he should have gone that route. Let Adam blackmail the judge. Otherwise, this outcome is so unbearably stupid it made me want to stop watching the show.

I guess JG just went for unbearably stupid because Victor was "in Germany". The Bug should have recused herself from the whole case at the start because she has openly detested Phyllis for 30 years. Pristine's brain is also not functioning properly; why did she not object to the story that the ambulance guy from the crash (where Phyllis faked her death) also coincidently happened to be the one peeking into the window of Phylly's fleabag motel room right when she was killing Stark several days later? Previously it was assumed that Carson left town because he was scared of Stark, but apparently he knew Stark was dead before leaving town. And Phyllis' streaky fake-tanned sad-faced plea to the judge had me laughing out loud, it was so pathetic and unconvincing.
This is the very first time I have wished Phyllis' slap on the wrist was a dream sequence.

Obviously Michelle Stafford has a great deal with the producers of the show so that Phyllis gets away with everything. Totally unbelievable. Without doubt, this storyline is the worst I have seen in any of the many soaps that I have watched over decades. I doubt if even AI could create such drivel!!!

I just got to see yesterday's show. That was the most ludicrous, asinine and infuriating storyline. I absolutely hate, detest and despise Phyllis more than ever, and I didn't think that was possible. I don't know how that judge could fall for her bawling sob story. I'm on the verge of quitting this show.

Also, what's with Phyllis telling Daniel and Summer at her little champagne celebration party that "the charges were dropped!"? If the charges were dropped, she wouldn't be required to do community service or be on probation. She is still guilty of charges, but her punishment is laughably light. Makes me wonder if Phyllis is supposed to be that dumb, or if the writers really are that dumb.

Even though she absurdly got zero prison time, she pleaded guilty.

I haven't seen it yet - I'm behind. I'm going to just skip this whole day I guess, because it sounds just awful.
It's ridiculous and infuriating that for months now, no one has talked at all about how Phyllis framed Diane for murder. Phyllis should have to do AT LEAST equal time that Diane did... preferably more.
Effing stupid show. It really has gone down hill.

I'm really furious that Adam hired her. And now she'll have a good job. Sharon and Nick will.forgive her and work along side her. The whole town will forgive her.

I am less enthusiastic to watch the show these days. That's probably why I've been constantly behind a few episodes - that, and the fact that I moved in to a new house and there's lots to do (unpack, paint, invite people over what feels like every other day LOL) I don't think I could ever QUIT for good... but there have been a few times in the past that I stopped watching for months. That time when Sharon died her hair brown and escaped out a window was the last time I remember quitting. It wasn't because of Sharon though. I completely forget now what got me fed up. Of course, I can't really quit now because what would I do with the Y&R scenes I have made, and all the dolls? LOL I am trapped! And back in March, I pre-ordered a doll to be Phyllis. Arggg.

I was secretly hoping the strikes would preempt the show and we'd get old episodes like during covid lockdown. I mean, I want them to settle well, but it would've been a great silver lining. But no, they have scab writers and the actors are in a different union.

But despite the strike, someone high up gave the direction that the story has to go in, so it isn't the scab writers fault that Phyllis isn't going to jail. Sigh.

She has been in prison before, for blackmail. In this case, I thought they would at least go to trial.
