Why is everybody in Genoa City ganging up on Adam? I must be an idiot because I can't seem to understand why they all expect the worst of him. Have talks about him and have bad intentions towards him.
To me Victor gave him a company, put him in charge and was supposed to let him run it as he sees fit.
Then Victor reneged on the deal.

I'm with you Cappy. I don't get it. Also don't get how Diane got to he public enemy #1. I am especially disappointed in Sharon's animosity towards Adam.

Adam could/should remind his numbskull siblings/coworkers that he is the only one in the family/company with a Harvard MBA and graduated second in his class behind Skye, who Sharon & Victor refused to help when she could have been saved from a volcano.

I agree, and I don't understand why he SHOULDN'T run Newman Media. The only reason he partnered with Sharon was that she had this tech company that would complement Tucker's business. Now that business has been folded into Newman Media. So why would he need to be co-CEO with Sharon anymore? And Nick is only there because Daddy told him to. None of it makes any sense. Every day, Victor calls the three of them to the ranch and tells them he's made some new decision about the business, which they have not even started to work at yet!

It gets super tedious the way every character calls Adam a manipulative monster, but Adam doesn't come across that way at all. Maybe years ago, when he first appeared, there were some dastardly doings, but those things are never even mentioned now. And don't get me started on the genius way the writers said Adam is responsible for "killing" Delia, when it was Billy's negligence that caused her death. In fact negligence is a crime and accidents are not a crime. In my mind, Billy is the real villain, and I'll always think so.

I'll say. Sharon was Adam's biggest defender until very recently. Now she, and all the others have turned on him. Adam's got more experience that the rest put together. I hate the way Victor sits in his stupid chair and summons everyone (almost daily) for his latest company revision plans. Every day is almost a repeat of the day before. Nothing new is really happening here.

I agree, Adam is the most qualified... and Newman Media was HIS business. Who's stupid suggestion was it to put Sharon and Nick ABOVE Adam? Are people insane? The writing is just SHIT right now. Nothing makes sense and nothing is interesting. Adam should not still be the black sheep of the family... he hasn't done anything wrong in a long time.

The writing for this is so horrific -- not to mention that no one connected with the producing or writing of this show has any concept of how corporate business works -- it is ludicrous. Why the writers and producers insist on making Adam the villain no matter what the storyline is beyond me. I hope they are paying Mark mucho bucks to play this ridiculous part.

Is Sharon drunk? When explaning why Adam is the worst choice for head of Newman Media, she was speaking slowly, slurring words and blinking her eyes like a ventriloquist's dummy. It was very odd.

Either I haven't seen that scene yet, or I haven't been paying attention. It's so easy to not pay attention.

Sharon does seem a bit peculiar lately. Maybe it has to do wth some work done to her face. Sometimes, though, she does seem like she's had a few drinks. Maybe she needs medication or something.

It feels like corporate bullying to me. Is that allowed in this day and age? There are huge lawsuits today from this sort of behaviour Just saying

I know people keeping asking this, but I asked myself again today--what exactly are the dastardly crimes Adam has committed that make all these people act like he eats babies for dinner? When he first appeared on the show, there was a lot of weirdness, granted. But none of that is ever mentioned now. Nothing about him is any more offensive than what any of the other characters do. It just seems dumb to me.

And now we have yet another reversal of Victor's everchanging mind (almost daily) about his company and whose running what. Now, he has decided to not feel bound by the contract that he and Sharon signed and to give her company back free and clear, no questions asked and no strings attached. Wasn't it just yesterday that he had the opposite opinion and that he would under no circumstances let her out of her contract? No one seems to be working in their offices anymore. They're all gathered in Victor's living room day after day discussing his latest round of musical chairs. This whole thing is bordering on insanity. It's repetitive, bears no semblance to reality, is not remotely interesting, and is a complete waste of time.

lucygirl, you've summed up my feelings. None of Victor's explanations for any of these changes make any sense. What will he do next? Replace Nate with Adam, seconds after Nikki tells Adam that he'll never work at Newman again?
