I just loved, loved it when Victor removed Victoria's portrait and replaced it with his old portrait. Victor is an old bully. Victoria always gets her way with daddy but not this time. I enjoyed her getting the chip knocked off her shoulder. She should take lapdog Nate with her and go build her own empire.

I haven't liked Victoria in a while, so I enjoyed seeing her be bothered by this. But on the other hand, she might have a point that Victor isn't fit to run the show, and that she shouldn't have lost her position. I made a doll version ... 3 photos if you click through... http://instagram.com/p/CxYqy1UxNyz

I was expecting Victoria to stab Victor's portrait with well-sharpened #2 pencils, like Jack did. At least Victor didn't slam down & break Victoria's portrait like he did with Jack&Brad's (though that would have been fun to see; I never liked the floral dress she wore for it - an odd choice for someone who thinks she is "CEO" material).

There have been 2 Victoria portaits... the first was in a fancy frame, and she wore the floral blouse. The second one was a less ornate frame and she wore a dark coloured top. Victoria smashed the first one, because Ashland had given it to her.

The time Victor smashed the portrait of Jack and Brad in the Newman CEO office, declaring "I will crush you!" fb.watch/nco69DUqWz/

Ha ha, I'd forgotten about that. Since I hate those stupid portraits, I try not to look at them. I don't know how looking at a greater than life-sized portrait of himself from >30 years ago would make Victor feel empowered. Victoria should replace it with a mirror for our entertainment (and cheaper too, with someone new at the big desk every other week).
Most corporate offices I've been in don't have any wall portraits at all, but those that do have them in the main entry/reception area or a conference room.

Would you allow me to use that idea in a miniature doll scene on Instagram to point out the ridiculousness of a new CEO every other week? I think that the reason they use a portrait might be for the benefit of viewers (especially ones that don't watch regularly) to remind them of whose office it is. Although, they don't do that at Jabot. But every notice how the CEO offices always have the name of the company up on the wall IN THE OFFICE? Real companies don't do that either... but again, I think it's to let viewers know where we are.

Feel free to use the Mirror idea. The revolving CEOs are ridiculous!

I'm starting to think that maybe Victor is losing his marbles. Could it be possible that a dementia type S/L is in the cards for Victor? He's behaving extremely erratically lately with all the firings, comings and goings, etc.

He's behaving extrmemly erratically lately which all the firings, comings and going, etc. Yes, at first I thought Victoria was just saying that out of anger, but now it seems like they might actually be going to a dementia story. I hope so. Eric Braden had a recent interview about how it's about time Victor is back on his rightful throne as The Master of the Universe, etc., it was nauseating. I would love if instead it turned out that he really was just losing it. It would at least make some sense out of his continual flip-flopping about the company a few weeks ago.

And I love the portraits. It would be tacky IRL but has made for so many great shots of the characters with the various portraits over the years. A fantastic device.

Victoria's been awfully full of herself and I think it's unprofessional the way she's been carrying on with Nate. But I do think Victor is losing it and has been making irrational decisions. So I'm cheering for Victoria at the moment. She's very hurt by her father's attitude and words. There's no reason for him to be so heartless in the way he carries out his decisions.
Victor losing it certainly explains what looked like bad writing with all the musical chairs.
