Y and R has used this term several times recently. I find it very offensive. What is wrong with these writers?

Y and R has used this term several times recently. I find it very offensive. What is wrong with these writers? Agree wholeheartedly. Extrememely offensive. It's very insensitive to people who have mental illnesses. Victor kept referring to the looney bin when Nate was going to send Victor away. It sounds to me like something Eric Braeden may ad lib and make up. It just sounds so ignorant.

At first I thought Victor was using the offensive term as part of his dementia act (still a bad choice by the writers). But then he kept using it, about himself, Eve, Jordan & Claire. And didn't Nick &/or Cole use it too? Extremely offensive, especially because Victor & Cole knew Eve had mental problems. And Sharon & Chelsea's cases have been handled very respectfully in the past, with no offensive language.

Yes, it's very offensive, and it does sound like something Eric Braeden would say on his own.
It's EXTREMELY offensive, and disappointing that he keeps saying it. The show is ruining itself from every corner.

Victor is now using "Nuts", "Crazy" and "Nutzo", all in one episode! TPTB need to shut this down and use proper mental condition terminology.

I have to think he ad-libs because I don't want to think writers could be this dense.
