So the 2 million people in the US who have OCD are doomed because they aren't moving halfway across the country to an inpatient treatment center ... according to Chelsea's logic. I find it really aggravating that the show has not explained why Adam is so wrong for considering that Connor might be treated in Genoa City. The kid is terrified to be shipped off, and who can blame him? But Chelsea acts like he absolutely MUST go to the residential facility in Maryland, or else he will never manage his OCD. If the show really wanted to send Connor away, they needed to explain why he truly needs inpatient care. Is his OCD so much more severe than most people's? The therapist just said this was how to treat OCD. But the vast majority in reality can get therapy right where they live. I know this is a soap, but it bugs me that the show is portraying it this way. And as usual, Adam supposedly must bow to Chelsea's wisdom.

Now Connor will have the added worry of being on a collapsing bridge. Connor's Grandpa could easily bring in an OCD expert to treat Connor in GC if there isn't one there or in Chicago. Connor may do better living with Adam.

I am guessing that the writers just don't want to do a lot of scenes with or about Connor after the drama of will he or won't he get treatment is over. It's like how he couldn't stand to be in GC and went away to a school near Anita. It's why all the kids are at boarding school. BUT it does a BIG DISERVICE to the public to let them think this is how OCD must be treated. I thought the storyline was about educating the audience. How many people are going to resist seeking help if they think they're going to have to be in an institution of some sort?
